Here are some ideas for family activities in the region, to spend unforgettable moments.

Trail game “Les Chenapans”*

This treasure hunt will allow you to discover the city centre of Neuchâtel in a playful way. Young and old alike will have to rack their brains to find answers to the riddles posed along the way.


How to get there
  • Departure from the tourist office, during opening hours. The return journey must be made before closing time.
Duration and prices
  • The duration of the activity is estimated at 2h30.
  • Prices: adults CHF 10.00, children CHF 5.00, family (max. 4 people) CHF 25.00
Food & Drinks
  • There are plenty of restaurants in the centre of Neuchâtel to suit all tastes.

Sledging and snow scooters at La Robella*

In summer and winter, La Robella offers a wide range of outdoor activities for young and old. In addition to skiing, snowshoeing and hiking, snow enthusiasts can take to the sledge run or choose to hurtle down the snowy slopes on an XL scooter.


How to get there
  • return journey: by train from Neuchâtel to Buttes (free with the Neuchâtel Tourist Card), then by chairlift to the summit (1 free ascent with the Neuchâtel Tourist Card)
  • or by car (40 minutes)

Opening hours and rates
  • Open from December to March on weekends and during school holidays from 9am to 4.30pm. During the week, from Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 4.30pm. Subject to sufficient snow conditions.
  • Prices for the chairlift:
    • ingle ride adult CHF 8.00, children 8-17 years CHF 6.00, >8 years old, free
    • daily pass adult CHF 20.00, child 8-17 years CHF 14.00, >8 years old, free
  • Rental prices:
    • Sled CHF 8.-/1 run or CHF 12.-/day
    • Scooter CHF 12.00/run
    • Snowshoes CHF 12.00/day

For bobsledders, there are many slopes in the canton, easily accessible by car. However, you will have to climb the slope by force of arms 😉 See the tracks

Treasure hunts and chocolate fondues*

Starting from La Tourne or La Brévine, let yourself be led on a winter treasure hunt. Your efforts will be rewarded at the end with a good chocolate fondue.

How to get there
  • La Brévine: by car (40 minutes)
  • La Tourne: by car (20 minutes), or by bus (30 minutes)
Activities on site
  • La Brévine: allow about 1h45 to complete the route on the snowy paths. No change in altitude.
  • La Tourne: the walking time is estimated at 2 hours. With a difference in altitude up to the “Rochers des Tablettes”.
Opening hours and rates
  • La Brévine:
    • Open every day except Thursday, telephone 032 935 13 06. Please note that the trail is only accessible if there is sufficient snow, so please enquire before setting off.
    • Price: CHF 12 per person. Reservation required.
  • La Tourne:
    • Open every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, phone 032 855 11 50.
    • Price: CHF 12 per person. Reservation required.

Skating on the Taillères lake*

Every year, the cold weather settles on Switzerland’s Siberia and transforms its lake into a huge open-air skating rink. A great opportunity to take a breath of fresh air in an idyllic and enchanting setting.

How to get there
  • La Brévine: by car (45-55 minutes)
Activities on site
  • Skating, hockey, walking on the ice, everything is allowed on the Lac des Taillères.
Opening hours and rates
  • Access to the lake is free and open to all. Be careful: please note that the thickness of the ice is not controlled, users move around on the lake under their own responsibility.
  • It is possible to rent skates for 1 hour, CHF 5.00.
